Within the Montana Tech Business Department, you’ll benefit from a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio and a robust hands-on learning environment. You can focus your business degree by choosing from four academic concentrations: accounting, health information technology, management of information, and management of natural resources. You’ll gain an advantage in the marketplace by developing SAP Enterprise Software skills through Montana Tech’s designation as a SAP University Alliance member.

The Business Department at Montana Tech offers two degrees, Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business and Information Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Business.

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business and Information Technology
The Bachelor of Science is a traditional four-year degree program that allows students a course of study under four options.
Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Business

The Bachelor of Applied Science is a two year program designed to allow students, who have completed their Associate of Applied Science degree, an opportunity to continue and complete a baccalaureate degree.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment of business and financial operations occupations is projected to grow 7% through 2028, faster than the average for all occupations. Globalization, a growing economy, and a complex tax and regulatory environment are expected to continue to lead to strong demand for accountants and auditors. Increasing usage of data and market research will lead to growing demand for market research analysts. The median annual wage for business and financial occupations was $68,350 in May 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
