Biography

Todd is an Assistant Professor in the Business and Information Technology Department at Montana Tech teaching Economics and Accounting.

He is a Butte native and has over 20 years of experience in Industry. He was most recently an Account Manager for PPL Energy Plus through June 2013. He started his career as an Accountant in 1992 for the Montana Power Company (MPC) in Colstrip. He then worked for MPC in Butte as a Financial Analyst for its electricity generation segment before moving to PPL in the same capacity after MPC sold the generation assets to PPL.

Todd graduated from the University of Montana with a bachelor’s degree in Business in 1992 and an MBA in 2007. Todd is a CPA, a Governor-appointed Montana Ambassador, a graduate of both Leadership Butte and Leadership Montana and is an active volunteer in Butte having served as Board President of United Way and the Chamber of Commerce, and currently is serving as Chairman of Butte’s Tax Increment Financing Industrial District Board of Directors.

His free time is spent enjoying everything Montana has to offer with his family and friends.

Personal Interests

Todd is very involved in the community and has been since 2001 when he started a five-year leadership role with the Boy Scouts of America. Since then he served as Board President of United Way. However, his passion for service is more focused in the area of economic development as he served on the Butte Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for six years with most of them on the Executive Committee and one as Board Chairman. He currently serves on the Butte Local Development Board of Directors and is Chairman of Butte’s Tax Increment Financing Industrial District Board of Directors, which is a subcommittee of the Economic Development Department for Butte/Silver Bow and makes recommendations to the Council of Commissioners.
