Layne Sessions has served as the Director of Facilities since February of 2020. Sessions came to Montana Tech with 28 years of experience in higher education facilities, working for Sodexo (Marriott – Sodexo Marriott). Over the last 20 years, he has served as a Director of Facilities at Ripon College and Marian University in Wisconsin, Lyon College in Arkansas, and Sierra Nevada University in Nevada. He has obtained certification through IFMA as a Facilities Management Professional. Sessions earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Plant Administration from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He and his wife Carrie are living in Butte and have four adult children and a handful of grandchildren.
