Perform for the community!

The Copper Hill Choir is a hybrid between a club and a class. The group meets on Mondays from 4:30 to 6:30 in the Library Auditorium to practice, and students get credit for MUSI 112 for participating. There also is a small scholarship awarded to choir participants.

Knowing how to read music is helpful, but not necessary to participate. Students perform a winter and spring concert. Performances are coordinated with the Mining City Choral Union, Butte’s community choir.

Auditions are held on the first Monday of the new semester. For more information, reach out to Director Fred Crase at fcrase@mtech.edu.

Because - Mining City Choral Union and MT Tech Copper Hill Choir Spring 2023 Concert
The Mining City Choral Union and Montana Tech Copper Hill Choir present their Spring 2023 concert, “Because,” directed by Fred Crase and accompanied by Janet Shuttlesworth. “Because” featured a loose theme of folk music and traditions ranging from Gaelic folk music and a sea chanty to Bob Dylan and Crosby, Stills, & Nash. However, pieces and solos have been included that do not fit the theme. And why were they included? Because!
