
Montana Technological University invites community members to celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Heritage Month on November 7, 2025.
The event, organized with Butte Native Wellness Center and Montana United Indian Association, will begin at 11 a.m. in the Student Union Building's Copper Lounge and Big Butte/Highlands rooms. Join Montana Tech in celebrating Native American culture with a flag raising ceremony, Indian taco lunch, and traditional dance. There will also be resource tables with information from businesses in the Butte and surrounding cities. This event is open to students, staff, and faculty of Montana Tech, as well as the greater Butte Community.
Montana United Indian Association is an adult Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program that has been in existence since 1974.The program serves Native American people residing in urban areas in Montana who are employed, enrolled in a short-term training, or seeking a degree program. The program assists with support services, informs clients of resources in those areas, and has good working relationships with tribal, urban, and federal agencies in those areas.
