Montana Technological University’s Campus Life, Dining Services, and the Associated Students of Montana Tech (ASMT) will host its 2nd annual Friendsgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 5PM in the Marcus Daly Dining Hall.
“I’m grateful for friends who become family,” Director of Campus Life Madeline Thomas said. “That’s who we are at Montana Tech and we want to celebrate that.”
The goal of the event is to provide a welcoming home away from home for anyone who is unable to travel or be with family over the holiday break. This is the second time the event will be held on campus. It was a huge success in 2024, with an estimated 150 people attending.
"Students at Montana Tech come from all over the country and even the world, and for many of them, our campus becomes home during breaks and holidays,” Vice Provost for Student Success and Dean of Students Joe Cooper said. “We're proud to offer this special meal for them - not just for the food, but to gather and celebrate our community and appreciation for each other."
The Friendsgiving menu will include turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, yams, green bean casserole, stuffing, tossed garden salad, and desserts.
"Our team in Dining Services gets to know our students all throughout the academic year,” Dining Services Unit Controller Stacie Breitzman said. “For us, it's more than just serving food - we're grateful to be part of the Friendsgiving meal and are excited to provide a tasty meal and a friendly atmosphere for those who will be in town."
