| High School Honor Scholarships Fee Waivers |

Registration and incidental fees will be waived at any unit of the Montana University System for a recipient of a High School Honor Scholarship. The scholarship must be utilized within nine months after high school graduation and will be valid through completion of the first academic year of enrollment, exclusive of any credit earned prior to high school graduation. |
| Honorably-Discharged Veteran Fee Waiver |

Registration and incidental fees may be waived for all honorably-discharged persons who served with the United States armed forces in any of its wars and who are bona fide residents of the State of Montana. This waiver shall not apply to persons who qualify for education stipends or other veterans' benefits under applicable sections of Title 38 of the U.S. Code and shall apply only to those who have at some time qualified for benefits but who are no longer eligible. Such a person must have been a bona fide resident of the State of Montana for at least one year prior to enrollment in Montana Tech and must demonstrate financial need. Registration and incidental fees will be waived for the National Merit Examination finalists and semi-finalists from Montana. This scholarship will be valid through the first academic year of enrollment, exclusive of any credits earned prior to high school graduation. The holder of the scholarshipo must enter one of the units of the University System within nine montsh of the date of issue. |
| War Orphan Fee Waiver |

Registration and incidental fees will be waived, with the approval of the Commissioner of Higher Education, for the spouse and children of any resident of Montana who meets either of the following tests: (1) while serving in the armed forces of the United States is declared by the Secretary of Defense to be aprisoner of war or missing in action in the conflict in Southeast Asia after January 1, 1961, or; (2) while serving the United States in a civilian capacity is declared by the Secretary of State of the United States to be missing or captured in connection with the conflic in Southeast Asia after January 1, 1961. Eligiblity of this waiver will continue until completion of the bachelor's degree or certification of completion, as long as the student meets the requirements for reasonable academic progress. No eligible person will be disqualified by either the return of the prisoner of war or person missing in action or by the reported death of such person. |
