Montana Tech Announces Regional Science Fair and Intermountain Junior Science and Humanities Symposium Week

The annual Montana Tech Regional Division I Science Fair will be held Monday, March 5th.  Campus will host around 32 high school students from 9 schools across southwest Montana. The science fair will conclude followed immediately by the kick-off of the Intermountain Junior Science & Humanities Symposium with special guest speaker, Dr. Renee Reijo-Pera, in the Library Auditorium at 3:30 pm. The awards ceremony will be emceed by Dr. Dan Trudnowski, Dean of Montana Tech’s School of Mines & Engineering.

Competing in the Symposium are 56 high school students from across the Northwestern United States. We are delighted that for the first time in many years, 11 local students from Butte High School will be participating. The public is welcome to view projects from 11:30-12:30 PM on Tuesday, March 6th, in the Copper Lounge.

On Thursday, March 8, over 413 students from 25 schools across southwest Montana will be on campus for the middle school science fair. This event will be open to the general public at 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm at the Montana Tech HPER.
