Biography

Dr. Sudhakar Vadiraja is a Freeport-McMoRan Professor at Montana Tech, working since January 2008. He earned his Ph.D. degree (Materials Engineering) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Master’s degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering from Karnataka Regional Engineering College (now known as NITK), Surathkal. Dr. Vadiraja has about 20 years of teaching, 10 years of industry, and 2 years of postdoctoral research experience. His technical expertise includes Biomaterials, Mechanical Behavior, Fatigue and Fracture, Materials Processing & Characterization and Failure Analysis. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Montana.
