Degrees and Programs

The department offers three different tracks for students interested in majoring in mathematics.

• Pure Mathematics:  This track prepares you for the study of graduate level mathematics. 
• Secondary Education:  This track allows you to get a teaching certificate from University of Montana Western along with an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Montana Tech
• Applied Mathematics:  This track prepares you for a career in business, industry, or government.

The department also offers a minor in mathematics for students majoring in another area.
