Biography

I was born and raised in Montana. The first 20 years growing up was spent near central Montana in the small town of Hobson, where I attended first grade in a one room school house. The next 11 years of my education was spent and the newly constructed Hobson Public School, K-12.

After graduating in the top 15 students of my class, I began my higher education at the Helena Vo-Tech Center, (Helena College) where I earned a certificate in Machine shop.

Then, off to work as a Machinist. While working as a Machinist, I learned to weld and became certified with the American Welding society.

After many years of working in the industry, I decided that it was time for a change in my life. At age 28 I headed back to college to obtain an Associate of Science Degree.

Several more years of work followed, at the age of 39, I re-enrolled in College to obtain a B.S. in Secondary Education. This lead me to becoming a teacher at Montana Tech. Highlands College, where I have been working for the last 15 years. I now call my home Butte, Montana.
