WIRELESS SETUP:

WINDOWS 7


Step 1: Open your Windows Wireless Connection Manager located in the Taskbar on the right hand side where it says "Wireless Connections Are Available."

Step 2: Select the wireless network called “MTSecure” or “MTDorms” and click “Connect.” Make sure you have “Connect Automatically” checked if you want to automatically re-connect to this network when it is in range.

Step 3: The Network Authentication window appears. Enter your Username and Password for the Montana Tech Domain and click ”OK.” This is the same password for MyMTech and the Login for E-mail.

Step 4: The Windows Security Alert Window Opens. Click “Connect.” Note: This connection is secure and you will not be at risk. If you click Terminate then it will not allow the connection through and you will have to restart the process

Need help logging in?

You will need your Student ID number (799 number) and your last name in order to retrieve your username and password for the first time. Click here to retrieve your password. These credentials will give you access to MyMTech, E-Mail, Wireless, and any campus computer.
