Kristi Bailey brings various clinical and practical experiences to Montana Tech and our students. She began her career in 1993 as a Surgical Technologist and then became a Surgical First Assistant. Over the years Mrs. Bailey has seen healthcare advance from limited technology to a highly technological environment, including the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR’s).

Mrs. Bailey was driven to advance her professional career and went back to school in 2005. She received her Bachelors in Applied Management with a Marketing concentration, and then continued her education in attaining a MBA/MSL (Masters in Business Administration / Masters of Science in Leadership) in 2012. After this Mrs. Bailey worked at the Montana Chemical Dependency Center MCDC as the Admissions Coordinator. Where she facilitated patients through the admission process from the initial application, approval, and admittance using the latest available technology the state of Montana had available as their EMR. During this time Mrs. Bailey Continued her education working on her PhD.

Mrs. Bailey is now a Doctoral Candidate at Capella University who is working on her dissertation. The topic of her dissertation is examining experiences of conflict mediation using emotional intelligence.  This will be a valuable contribution to the available literature for numerous public service organizations.

 

Research Interests

My research interests include the roles of emotional intelligence, technology, and group behavior while providing services various community entities. I enjoy working with students while mentoring them into professional and leadership roles.
