Legion Oasis Tutoring "To reach children and families by promoting Computer Technology, Education,Health, Financial Literacy to create a better quality of life for the Legion Oasis Community and surrounding area." is the mission statement of the Legion Oasis Community. At the Legion Oasis Community, AmeriCorps works together with center staff, and volunteer tutors to provide after school. Tutoring is not hte only activity at the Legion Oasis Community, they have several other programs their residences can use. Some of those activities are computer classes, motovational mpeakers, health presentations, knitting classes, movies for area children, area holiday get togethers and parties, gardening to help our seniors and families.
