Montana Tech has three apartment complexes located approximately one mile from the North Campus. Apartments are two- or three-bedroom units and are leased to single or married students with priority given to students with dependents. Assignments are given according to date of deposit of the applicants on the current waiting list. Apartment eligibility is restricted to current students who maintain forward progress in any North or South Campus degree program.

Tenants are responsible for their own electricity/gas service. Local phone service and a data connection to the campus network are included in a telecom fee. Students must provide their own long-distance service via a calling card or pre-paid phone card. Public use facilities include a coin-operated laundry service and a playground. Each apartment is wired for cable, and the tenant must contract with the provider for services.
