National Conference for Undergraduate Research   NCUR 2008
 April 10-12, 2008
SALISBURY UNIVERSITY, Salisbury, Maryland
NCUR 2008 at Salisbury University

The National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), established in 1987, is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. Unlike meetings of academic professional organizations, this gathering of young scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all corners of the academic curriculum. Through this annual conference, NCUR creates a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement, provides models of exemplary research and scholarship, and helps to improve the state of undergraduate education.

In addition, NCUR® presents an opportunity to hear nationally prominent speakers and to discuss educational policy, programs, and funding for undergraduate scholarly work.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY
NCUR has an abiding commitment to provide access to the conference to under-represented students and to assist in the development of networks and support structures among those students. NCUR and host sites have jointly raised funds to ensure a strong minority presence at its conferences because it believes both in the value of diverse dialogue and in the infectious spread of the excitement of research by participants to others not in attendance.
