Courtney Young, URP Committee Chairman, will be presenting 4 Information Sessions to assist any student or mentor who may have questions about the Undergraduate Research Program.
|
Highlights of the Program:
1. Each participating student will receive a $1,500 stipend payable in two $750 increments. If students are participating on a team project, they will each receive a stipend of $1,000 each, to be distributed in two $500 increments. Each URP Mentor will receive a $300 stipend per sponsored project at the end of the Academic Year.
2. For purposes of these awards, research is broadly defined and may include investigations of a cultural or historical question, documentary or production arts, as well as laboratory or field research, more typically associated with the science or engineering disciplines.
3. Please Note: Students should try to develop their proposals with the assistance of their URP Mentor, and the proposal must follow the guidelines posted on the website. This part of the process may help avoid the hassle of submitting a rewrite.
