Corby Anderson—2005 Distinguished ResearcherDr. Corby Anderson has been at Montana Tech for 8 years. During this time he has been instrumental in building and expanding one of our oldest research centers on campus--The Center for Advanced Mineral and Metallurgical Processing (CAMP). He has forged strong connections with our historical mineral processing partners and more recently has begun several major new programs with the US Army to develop and fabricate titanium for the 21st century. He has marketed Montana Tech to the world from Chile to Australia to Russia, with stops along the way in Venezuela, Saskatchewan and Mexico – and maybe Cork of the Emerald Isle. He has over 120 publications, is an active participant in numerous technical societies, and has received over $2,000,000 in support for his research. He regularly employs students in his projects and serves on many thesis committees. He is a graduate of Montana State University and holds advanced degrees in metallurgical engineering from Montana Tech and the University of Idaho.
