Dr. Larry Twidwell —2002 Lifetime Distinguished ResearcherDr. Larry Twidwell has been a member of the Montana Tech faculty for 33 years. His world renowned research emphasizes the use of extractive metallurgical techniques for the treatment of industrial waste streams. This prolific researcher has directed 52 theses, produced 116 publications and presentations, has written 74 research proposals and has received over $3,000,000 in support. He has served as faculty member, Department Head, Satellite Director for the USBM Generic Center and member of the CAMP Board of Directors. He holds degrees from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy and the Colorado School of Mines.
