Dr. Chris Gammons — 2002 Distinguished Researcher
Dr. Chris Gammons measuring pH of the Rio Tinto, SpainDr. Chris Gammons has been a member of the Montana Tech faculty for five years. During this time he has built a research agenda emphasizing the fate and transport of heavy metals in natural and constructed wetlands. While at Montana Tech he has received 11 grants totaling $520,000 and has published 40 papers and abstracts. He has served as thesis chair for 12 students, committee member for 23 students, has mentored 7 undergraduate research students, and serves as the Chair of the New Faculty Seed Grant Program. He holds degrees from Bates College and Pennsylvania State University.
