Ted Duaime —2003 Lifetime Distinguished Researcher
 

Ted Duaime has been at Montana Tech for 21 years.  During this time he has been instrumental in bringing his unique expertise in hydrology, contaminant transport and water quality to the discussions of natural resource damage and superfund remediation.  His in-depth study of these topics has produced many technical reports and he continues to serve as an expert witness for both the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Justice.  His testimony was instrumental in the $215 Million settlement of the State of Montana’s Natural Resource Damage suit with ARCO.  In addition to his research he has been actively involved with numerous undergraduate students and is currently funding the work of two graduate students.  He is a graduate of the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology with degrees in mathematics and engineering.
