Rick Douglass —2003 Lifetime Distinguished Researcher
 

Rick Douglass has roamed the planet.  From the northern reaches of Alaska to the southern landscapes of Argentina.  His research interests range from tracking and understanding the spread of infections by rodents to monitoring and controlling red-deer populations.  He continues to surround his work with an array of undergraduate, graduate and PhD students.  He is an active participant in the BRIN program and serves as the campus coordinator for this NIH version of the EPSCoR program.  He has served as the Montana Tech Research Director and was the founder of the Intermountain Journal of Science.  He holds degrees in zoology and biology from the University of Utah and a PhD from Montana State University.
