Admissions Office Temporarily Moved
The Montana Tech Admissions Office is temporarily being housed in the Kelly Steward room. They will be there for two weeks while their office is renovated. Their phones and email still work so if you need to contact them nothing has changed but their location. Thanks for understanding and come by and check out their new office in two weeks.
6th Annual Academic Scholarship Banquet
Montana Tech will be hosting its 6th Annual Academic Scholarship Banquet Friday, October 28 at
the Red Lion Hotel starting at 6 pm. Dinner will be served at 6:45 pm. The banquet’s purpose is to
honor scholarship recipients for their outstanding academic work and to recognize and thank the
donors who support our scholarship program so generously. There are currently 215 scholarships
sponsored by donors that are distributed to students. For more information please contact Colleen at

“Trick-or-Treat Off The Street”
The 5th annual “Trick-or-Treat Off The Street” is taking place in the Montana Tech
Residence Halls on Halloween night. This is an event that invites children from the community to
come to the residence halls for trick-or-treating. This year will again feature a haunted house that is
being run by RHA a campus club made up of residents of the residence hall. Trick-or-Treating is
free of charge. The haunted house will cost $1 if you bring a can of food and $2 if you do not.
“The event has been a huge success in the past and the citizens of the residence halls are
looking forward to another great event,” says Molly Kreyssler, Director of Residence Life at
Montana Tech.
Donations are being accepted at the office of residence life in Prospector Hall on campus.
They are looking for candy, costumes, and cash to help subsidize their fundraising efforts. If you
bring by donations please remember to include contact information so the RHA can thank you properly.

Montana Tech Student Named Micron Scholar
Idaho-based Micron Technology has named Montana Tech sophomore, Wilson
Rupert, a Micron Scholar. Rupert, of Butte, will receive $2,500 a semester each semester
of his junior and senior year. Rupert was nominated by his professors for the scholarship
based on his grades, an essay, and the level of involvement
in various activities. For

Athletic Update
After hosting a successful HPER Hysteria event the women's and men's basketball team took to the court last Saturday against the University of Lethbridge. The women' team lost a hard fought battle 73-64 while the men lost in the last minute 81-79 in a very close game. The women are back in action on Oct. 28 against Brandon University. The game tips off at 7:00 pm at the HPER complex. The men are back in action on Oct. 29 against Easter Oregon. The men's JV, and the women's varsity will precede the game at 4:00 and 6:00 pm respectively, with the varsity men tipping off at 8:00 pm.
The volleyball team is coming off a great weekend which saw them pick up two wins. The Orediggers beat the 2nd place team University of Great Falls on Friday (3-0) and Montana State University Northern on Saturday (3-1) both on the road. Coach Tobin is very excited with the way her team is playing and the Orediggers are currently standing in 4th place in the conference. The team will be back in action on Oct. 26 at home against Western Montana College at 7:00 pm. The team also plays on Oct. 29 against Westminster College starting at 2 pm at the HPER complex.
The Montana Tech football team went to Dillon on Sat. Oct. 22 and beat the Western Montana Bulldogs 24-19 in a big game that keeps their playoff hopes alive. The team is off this week in preparation for a game with Carroll College on Nov. 5th (Senior Day) with kickoff at noon. This will be the Diggers last regular season home game so be sure to come out and help support your Diggers.
