Montana Tech has created a new brand. With this new brand “Get Into It!” as been developed as our new tagline. With the help of a nationally known higher education consultant, Montana Tech has been through an extensive self-audit involving prospective students, faculty, staff and alumni. Through this self-audit and research on the state of higher education in America, Montana Tech has developed a 5 year strategic plan, a vision statement, a mission statement, and a vision 2025 document describing what we have envisioned for Montana Tech in the year 2025.
Get Into It! is the most evident outcome of this work. Get Into It! is not something new to Montana Tech rather, it’s a summary of who we are and what separates us from other universities across the world.
Our faculty and staff are engaged in their school and their work. They Get Into It! with their research, classes, and education. Tech’s faculty and staff are also engaged and active in the community. The Alumni or Montana Tech also Get Into It! by being involved on industrial advisory boards, by being involved in fundraising for Montana Tech, and by being leaders in their respective industry.
Get Into It! best reflects our students and the experience they have at Montana Tech. Our students do not sit idly by and learn from reading books. Our students Get Into It! by actively participating in undergraduate research, design teams, internships, student government, and clubs. Tech students are not typical, they are active in shaping what Montana Tech is now and where Tech is going in the future. Students sit on committees that hire staff and faculty, they also help in deriving the vision and mission of Tech. Tech students are known in industry for their work ethic, employers state that this is often the differentiating factor between hiring at Tech or hiring at another university.
