Nursing Student Robyn Cotton Featured in The Montana Standard
Things were starting to look up for Robyn Cotton. She was
just about to graduate from Montana Tech and fulfill her dream of
becoming a registered nurse. She only needed to take her last exams.
But a week before her finals, her dream suddenly turned into a nightmare.

Montana Tech Honor Roll Announced
Montana Tech will release its honor roll to the media today.

Montana Tech Students Receive Automotive Certifications
Montana Tech Automotive students recently received ASE
certifications. These certifications are designed to meet Automotive
Service Excellence (ASE) standards established by the National Automobile
Technicians Education Foundation. For a complete list of students

Mining Engineering Student Receives Copper Club Scholarship
Chris Roos, a Mining Engineering student recently was awarded the
Copper Club Scholarship. This scholarship will award him $5,000
for this spring semester, and $5,000 for next year. Congratulations
Chris!
Tech Alumni to be Featured on Discovery Channel
Montana Tech alumni John Shook will be featured on the
T.V show "Dirty Jobs", on the Discovery Channel.
John is a 1987 mining engineering graduate. The show will
air on Tuesday, February 20.
Athletic Update
Free Food
The Butte Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a social
on Saturday night during the basketball games. The social will run
from halftime of the women's game to halftime of the men's game.
The social will be held in the aerobics room.
Another reason to come to the games on Saturday is the pork chop
sandwich give away. Baker Hughes will be giving away free pork chop
sandwiches to everyone in the stands on Saturday night if the women's
team can avenge their one point loss to the Westminster Griffens.
Women's Basketball
The Montana Tech women's basketball team is moving toward the end
of their season. The team sits at 3-7 after losing its last three
on the road to Carroll College, Rocky Mountain College and UM-Western.
The team did get two wins before that at home against MSU-Northern
and the University of Great Falls. The women's team will wrap up
its home season this weekend against Lewis-Clark State College on
Friday and Westminster College on Saturday.
Men's Basketball
The Men's Basketball team has moved to 5-5 in conference. This comes
after wins at home against MSU-Northern, University of Great Falls,
and UM-Western. Last week they lost to Rocky Mountain College and
Carroll College on the road. The team will look to get back to winning
tonight against Lewis-Clark State College. Tomorrow night will be
Senior Night as the Diggers will take on Westminster College in
their last home game of the season.
The women tip off at 6, men at 8.
