Montana Tech will be offering a free grant proposal writing
class to the community and students of Southwest Montana (There
is a $35 fee for class materials.) The class will be held on
Thursday and Friday, January 10-11 on Montana Tech’s campus.
The sessions will last from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. The class
will be taught by Janet Cornish, an adjunct professor at Tech
since 1991. Janet has been presenting proposal seminars for
seventeen years and is currently a community development consultant.
This two-day seminar will provide participants with key strategies
to help them put their best foot forward on paper, while "demystifying"
the grants process. Topics to be discussed in the class include
the following:
Assessing Need and Setting Priorities
Identifying Projects and Reviewing Solutions
Identifying Grant Sources and Associated Requirements
Preparing Strong Proposals
Preparing Budgets
Managing Successful Programs

This seminar is available as one academic credit through Montana
Tech course #32389 – PTC 2956. Additional charges will
apply if taken for college credit.
