Options
These options are available on most digital phones.

1 A message light
- A light that turn on to signal that there is a message waiting to be received.
1 An LCD Display
- Displays the number and name of the caller when the caller is within your network.
1 RLS Button
- Disconnects an active call.  Mainly used to disconnect hands free calls.
1 Hold Button
- Used to put an active call on hold and to return to a call that is on hold.
1 Extra Feature Keys
- Used to Transfer calls, Speed Dial calling, Conference calling, Last Number Redialing, Ring Again, Hands Free calling and Call Forwarding.
1 A Microphone
- Used for speaker phone calling.
1 Volume Control
- Used to raise or lower the Ringer Volume, Speaker Phone Volume and Handset Volume.

How To Use Your Digital Phone

1 Using Hold
  • To place a call on hold:
  1. Press HOLD.  The lamp flashes beside the line on hold.
  • To return to a held call:
  1. Press the line key with the flashing lamp.
 
1 To Transfer a Call
  • To transfer a call to another extension:
  1. Press TRANSFER.  The other party is on hold and you hear dial tone.
  2. Dial the extension that you want to transfer the call to.
  3. Press TRANSFER again, either when you hear ringing, or after you talk privately to the person you are transferring the call to.
 
1 Using Speaker Phone: If you have a digital phone, you can use the built in microphone and speaker instead of the handset.  At any time during a call, you can switch to the handset by picking it up.  You can also turn off your microphone so that the other party cannot hear you speaking.
  • To use Speakerphone on a call:
  1. Press HANDSFREE MUTE or a line key* instead of picking up your handset..     
  2. Press RLS to end your call.
  • To mute a Speakerphone call:
  1.  Press HANDSFREE MUTE.  The lamp flashes.
  2.  Press it again and return to the two-way conversation.
  • To switch from the handset to a Speakerphone call:
  1. Press HANDSFREE.
  2. Hang up the handset.

 

1 Forwarding Calls: Call Forward allows you to send your calls to another extension.
  • To forward your calls:
  1. Press FORWARD.  The lamp flashes.
  2. Dial the extension that you want to forward your calls to.
  3. Press FORWARD again.  The lamp remains on.
  • To cancel forwarding:
  1. Press FORWARD.  The lamp turns off.
 
1 Making a Conference Call: You can set up a conference for up to 6 parties, including yourself
  • To set up a conference:
  1. While on call, press CONFERENCE.  The other party is on hold and you can hear the dial tone.
  2. Dial the number of a third party to add.  When the call is answered, you may talk privately with the third party
  3. Press CONFERENCE again to include all three parties.
  4. If necessary, repeat the procedure to include up to 6 parties in the conference.
 
1 Last Number Redial: Last Number Redial allows you to automatically redial the last number you dialed.
  • To use Last Number Redial:
  1. Press a free line key.
  2. Press LAST NO. or press the line key again. 
 
1 Ring Again: If you receive a busy signal when trying to reach someone in your office, Ring Again automatically redials that number and lets you know that person is off their phone.
  • To use Ring Again:
  1. Press RING AGAIN when you get busy signal.
  2. Hang up or press RLS.
  3. When you hear the RING AGAIN tone, select a free line.
  4. Press RING AGAIN to automatically dial the number.
  • To cancel Ring Again:
  1. Press RING AGAIN before you hear the RING AGAIN tone.
