 Outside Scholarships

Montana Tech periodically receives notification of scholarships from outside agencies. As we are made aware of these scholarships, we'll post those scholarships to this site. We receive these notifications throughout the year; therefore, we recommend that you check this site often as it is updated regularly. The scholarships below are sorted by deadline (earliest to latest).

Ron Verbeck Montana Tech Matched Education Savings Account (MESA) Program - Helps hardworking students with limited incomes save for college expenses. For every $1 saved, the MT Tech MESA program matches it with $5.  Save up to $500 and you will be eligible for the maximum match of $2,500!

Deer Lodge Women's Club Scholarship - two $1,000 scholarships available to women who graduated from Powell County High School and have completed at least one year of college.  Deadline April 22, 2014.

Active Data Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available to a full-time student.  Deadline April 23, 2014.

A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship - five $1,000 scholarships available to students enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's, or graduate level program in an accredited school in the fields of gerontology, medicine, nursing, social work, sociology, or long-term care administration.  Deadline April 30, 2014.

Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship - $5,000 available to a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student.  Deadline April 30, 2014.

PeopleSmart Scholarship - $500 or $2,500 scholarship available to students who are currently enrolled in high school and are U.S. citizens.  Deadline April 30, 2014.

CollegeClasses.com "Breaking Down the Barrier" Scholarship - $500 awarded to a student pursuing a degree in any field.  Deadline May 1, 2014.

SES Advisors Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available to a student that wishes to puruse a career in finance, accounting, employee benefits or law.  Deadline May 16, 2014.

Corcentric Accounting Software Scholarship - $1,000 available to a student enrolled full-time.  Deadline May 23, 2014.

B. Davis Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available to a student enrolled in any postsecondary institution.  Deadline May 26, 2014.

GreenPal Business Scholarship - $2,000 scholarship available to college freshmen or sophomores how owns and operates his/her own small business, or has put together a business plan to start a business while in college.  Applicants must be enrolled full-time majoring in Business and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Deadline May 30, 2014.

Rural Students Scholarship Essay Contest - $500 scholarship available to full-time college students maintaining a 3.0 GPA.  Deadline May 30, 2014.

MTA Doug Slifka Memorial Scholarship - two $500 scholarships awarded to students who are a minor dependent of a member in good standing of the MTA, or a member of the association for one year and be majoring in life sciences.  Deadline June 1, 2014.

Reliance Foundry Scholarship - $500 - $3,000 available to currently enrolled students.  Deadline June 2, 2014.

Big Sun Scholarship - $500 scholarship available to a full-time student involved in athletics.  Deadline June 20, 2014.

2 Plus 2 Honor Scholarship - scholarships awarded to students who graduate with an associate degree from a 2-year campus of the Montana University System to a 4-year campus in the Montana University System.  Deadline June 30, 2014.

Spokeo Connections Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available to full-time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Deadline July 1, 2014.

Mark A. Forester Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available for a student enrolled full-time.  Deadline July 31, 2014.

Parker Waichman Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available to a student enrolled full-time.  Deadline July 31, 2014.

TopMedicalAssistantSchools.com Scholarship Program - $1,500 scholarship available to a student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 pursuing a career in the medical field.  Deadline July 31, 2014.

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship - $5,000 - $10,000 scholarships available to students majoring in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry with a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Deadline August 1, 2014.

Police Scanner Scholarship - $500 awarded to a student currently attending college with a minimum GPA of 2.0.  Deadline August 20, 2014.

Lexington Law Scholarship - $10,000 scholarship available to a student enrolled full-time with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Deadline August 31, 2014.

Buildium's Build U. Scholarship - $2,000 awarded to students in good standing majoring in Engineering or Computer Science.  Deadline October 31, 2014.

AES Engineering Scholarship - $500 scholarship available to a student on the basis of character determined by the evaluation of an essay.  Deadline October 6, 2014.

Smith Scholarship Program - $1,000 scholarship available to a student attending college between January 1, 2014 and January 31, 2015 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.1.  Deadline December 31, 2014.

Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship - $10,000 scholarship available to a student who designs the best greeting card.  Deadline February 18, 2015.

FastWeb - This is a massive scholarship database with incredible matching technology to assist you in finding scholarships for which you can apply.  Deadline Varies.

StudentScholarships.org - This website is an excellent free resource for students looking for assistance in paying for their education.  Deadline Varies.

CollegeNET - This is a unique scholarship that's awarded weekly via a scholarship election system. You create a profile and post to topic and video forums up to five times a day. You have the opportunity to vote on other candidate's postings, and they can vote on yours. You receive points for casting and receiving votes. Whoever receives the most points at the end of the election period, wins the scholarship. The scholarships are generally $3,000 - $5,000 per week. Deadline Weekly.
