New Student Scholarship Application
Priority Deadline January 1st
Please read the following before beginning your scholarship application.
- You will need to have Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari in order to complete the on-line scholarship application. Also, please allow pop-ups on this site.
- You must apply for scholarships and for admission to be considered for scholarships.
- You will be asked to create a username and password before completing the scholarship application. Please keep this username and password handy. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be asked to log back into the system to accept your scholarship. Also, this is the same username and password that you'll use to complete the scholarship application as a continuing student.
- You will be asked for your Montana Tech student ID number. This number is created when your applciation for admission has been received. The number will be printed on the letter you'll receive after your application for admission has been processed. If you choose to complete the scholarship application before receiving this letter, you may use your high school ID number or your social security number in lieu of your Montana Tech student ID number.
- You will be asked to provide limited academic information, such as your high school GPA. Please note that when awarding scholarships, your high school class rank and ACT/SAT test scores recieved by Montana Tech through other means, such as your application for admission, will be taken into consideration.
- You will be asked for your student grade status. As a new student, you MUST select either New Incoming Freshman or New Incoming Transfer Student. If you neglect to select one of these options, you will not have a list of scholarships to apply for at the conclusion of your application.
- If you do not already have a degree, you must choose either AS (Associate of Science), AAS (Associate of Applied Science), CERT (Certificate), BAS (Bachelor of Applied Science), or BS (Bachelor of Science) as your expected degree on the Academic Information section of the application. The MS (Master's Degree) option is only for students that already have a four-year degree.
- Please note that once you complete the questionnaire, you will be given a list of scholarships for which you may be qualified. You must click on the “Apply Now” link next to each scholarship and confirm that you meet the criteria for that scholarship. If you neglect to do this step, you will not be considered for that scholarship.
- Please note that all award notiifications are made electronically to the email address you provide on the scholarship application, so please use an email address that you check regularly.
