NWCCU to Perform Comprehensive Accreditation Visit at Montana Tech

January 31, 2017

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will perform a comprehensive accreditation evaluation visit to Montana Tech on April 18-20, 2017. The NWCCU evaluation team, led by faculty and staff from peer institutions in the NWCCU region, will meet with campus students, faculty, staff and Board of Regents members to evaluation the college’s accreditation status, in conjunction with the college’s Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report. This visit is the culminating step in a regular seven-year cycle of review for each member college within the Commission.

The NWCCU is an independent, nonprofit membership organization and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the regional authority on educational quality and institutional effectiveness in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

The last action taken by NWCCU regarding Montana Tech was the acceptance of the Spring 2015 Ad Hoc Report.

The public is invited to send comments directly to the Northwest Commission on Colleges and University at 8060 165th Avenue N.E., Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052. Please submit comments no later than March 17, 2017.
