John and Roberta Ray to present at International Conferences
Professor John W. Ray of Montana Tech’s Liberal Studies Department has had paper presentations accepted for two international conferences.
In early March, he will be presenting a paper entitled “An Analysis and Criticism of Chaim Perelman’s Approach to Evidence and Argument as Developed in the New Rhetoric” at the Rhetoric of Evidence Conference to be held at Heidelberg University in Germany.
In late March, John will be presenting a paper entitled “Religion and Liberal Democracy: Are They Compatible?” at Oxford University for a Religion and Society conference.
John teaches classes at Montana Tech in political science and communications.
Professor Roberta K. Ray of Montana Tech’s Liberal Studies Department will be presenting a paper entitled “Are Feminism and Monotheistic Religions Compatible?” at the conference at Oxford University. Roberta is currently national president of the Commission on American Parliamentary Practice. She teaches classes at Montana Tech in communications.
