Programming Contest Coming to Campus
The first Montana Tech programming competition runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the museum computer lab. The format will be similar to other ACM International Collegiate Programming contests.
Six teams are registered from Montana Tech. Each team consists of three people. Each team uses one computer and tries to solve as many problems as possible in the five-hour contest. Problems involve solving some sort of computational problem, often using concepts from math (e.g. geometry) and computer science (e.g. graph theory, data structures, algorithms).
