Wastewater Cleanup: Nitrate and Cyanide

Several photoassisted electron transfer reactions (using U.V. light
to remediate the water) were explored for the cleanup of nitrate
and cyanide found in mine wastewaters. Both photooxidation and photoreduction
experiments were carried out and each of these processes involved
electron transfer reactions with solid photocatalysts.
