William Spath

Dr. Spath joined the Montana Tech faculty in 1986. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Applied Health Science, Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene. Before coming to Montana Tech, Dr. Spath taught and coached at Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis.  

Dr. Spath has a B.S. Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Southeast Missouri State University, a M.Ed. from the University of Arizona, and Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Missouri - Columbia. He is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist and Health/Fitness Program Director. He is a Pearson Vue certified testing administrator and is in charge of the yearly ACSM Health/Fitness Instructor certification testing done on the Tech campus.

Dr. Spath is very active with the local Rotary Club and has held a variety of offices at the local, state, and regional levels.

Dr. Spath is a Tenured, Full Professor, is the Applied Health Science program coordinator, the HPER program manager, and serves on several college committees.
