Education
Dr. Reinsel has a Ph.D. in Chemical engineering from Montana State University with a minor in environmental engineering. His B.S. is also from Montana State University in chemical engineering.
Experience
Dr. Reinsel has 18 years of experience in consulting, industry and academia. His recent work has focused on treating mining and other industrial waterwaters through chemical, physical and biological methods. Prior to graduate school and the environmental field, he worked as a product and process engineer at 3M Company's largest manufacturing site in the world. He holds one patent, and has earned several industrial and academic awards. His areas of expertise include:
- Analysis of treatment alternatives for industrial wastewater, storm water and drinking water
- Conceptual design and budgetary cost estimates
- Bench and pilot testing
- Innovative technology investigation and development
- Field installation and start-up
- Process analysis and trouble-shooting
