Description
A collegiate course in Financial Management of a Technological Enterprise will develop the student’s analytical and decision-making skills needed to meet the financial needs of an entrepreneurial, high technology firm.  This course will introduce the student to those financial concepts (cash flow, capital budgeting, and working capital requirements) critical to a growth-oriented business.  The requisite skills of a qualified entrepreneurial financial manager will be highlighted through text material, problems, and case analysis.

Each student will be expected to respond to specific questions while at the same time recommending solutions to real life case problems.  Having taken a position on an issue, each student will be expected to defend that position through his or her written case analysis.

Objectives

  • To apply the basic knowledge of financial and accounting principles learned in the required prerequisite course to more advanced 
    concept  business finance. 
  • To sharpen analytical and creative financial skills.
  • To develop a more complete understand of the financial resource requirements of an entrepreneurial enterprise at various stages of it development.

To define the role of financial management in an entrepreneurial enterprise.
