Civil Engineering requires courses in surveying,
structural engineering, and water treatment and includes courses
taught in the environmental engineering, geological engineering,
and mining engineering departments.
Mechanical Engineering involves the classic mechanical
engineering topics of machine design, mechanics, and thermal-energy.
There are other mechanical courses to choose from including HVAC
(heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), industrial plant design,
structural mechanics, concurrent engineering and more.
Welding Engineering offers a sound education in
welding processes, code and standards requirements, nondestructive
examination and welding metallurgy.
The General Engineering degree is accredited by th Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation
Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Yes, there is a Master's Degree available in General Engineering.
With a typical graduating class of 30 students, graduates have outstanding job opportunities given the broad nature of this degree program. Graduates either go directly into industry as welding, civil, mechanical, or control systems engineers or go to graduate school. With only 75 Welding Engineering graduates in the US each year, this option offers exceptional job placement opportunities.
