Technical Communication Project Deadlines Fall 2007 and Spring 2008
The deadline for a project presentation is December 5 for Fall 2007 and April 25 for Spring 2008.
Graduate students and graduate advisory committees must be in constant communication during the project preparation and presentation period.
Good planning early in the term will alleviate last minute difficulties by allowing the committee members to review the project and to plan the presentation to suit the student and committee’s schedule. It is important to arrange for the presentation in a timely manner to avoid the risk of committee members being unavailable due to finals and other obligations.
A final reminder: To be considered a Fall 2007 graduate, the project presentation must be completed by December 5 and the completed Check-Out List submitted to the Graduate Office by January 30.
To participate in May Commencement, a student must successfully present their project by April 25. The completed Check-Out List is to be submitted to the Graduate Office by June 30 to be considered a Spring 2008 graduate.
NOTE: If the January 30 or June 30 Registrar’s Office deadline is not met, the student will be required to enroll for 1 credit and their degree will be posted on their transcript for the appropriate semester of completion.
