Step 2: Loan Entrance Counseling: If you have accepted a loan and are a first time borrower at Montana Tech, you MUST complete the online entrance counseling. Click on the link below to complete this process.

Step 3: Comparing Educational Loans: Use FASTCHOICE to learn about different types of educational loans, and the lenders that offer them in order to help you choose the loan that is right for you.

Step 4: Signing Electronic Master Promissory Note: If you are a first time borrower or you wish to change lenders you will need to fill out a Master Promissory Note (MPN) to receive your loan funds. Click on the link below to complete your Master Promissory Note.

Step 5: Parent Plus Loan/Alternative Loan Processes

Dependent Students

If your parent is interested in processing a Parent PLUS loan, please complete a pre-approval application at FASTPLUS Pre-Approval. The Financial Aid Office will receive notification that the pre-approval application was completed the following day. Lender List (Not all inclusive of all lenders that participtate) for PLUS Loans.

Independent Students

You have been offered all of the Federal and State Financial Aid you are eligible to receive. If you are interested in borrowing alternative loans, please visit www.wellsfargo.com/student or www.usbank.com/studentloans. You must have remaining need according to Federal Regulations in order for us to certify an alternative loan.
