The Montana Tech Business & Information Technology Department presents: Jerry Rapp

Jerry Rapp will present "Career Strategy" Friday, April 21 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Montana Tech Natural Resource Building-122 (NRB).

Jerry Rapp and his family have recently moved back to Butte and is now the CIO of Town Pump. Town Pump owns and operates over 200 gas station/convenience store,casino, hotel and car wash properties throughout Montana and Idaho.

Jerry started his technical career with the United States Air Force working on mainframe computers. After four years in the military he moved back to Butte where he attended Montana Tech working toward an Information Systems degree. While attending Montana Tech he worked for Entech, a subsidiary of Montana Power, where he managed mainframe operations and implemented their first local area network.

After seven years with Entech, he and his wife moved to Salt Lake City where he accepted a job with Fidelity Investments. During his twenty years with Fidelity, he worked at many different Fidelity locations and in a variety of different roles. He spear-headed end-user support for three Fidelity locations providing support for 10,000 accociates, managed ISO 27001 certified PC and print programs consisting of 60,000 computers and 9,000 printers, received Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean certifications in the business improvement arena, obtained financial certification while managing a marketing and communications team and lastly lead a variety of diverse development teams located throughout th U.S and India before moving back to Butte, Montana.
