Legislators Visit Campus
The Butte delegation of the state legislature will visit Montana Tech’s campus during their mid-session break to tour its labs. The tour will depart the Copper Lounge at 11 am and conclude with a discussion between Chancellor Don Blackketter, students, faculty, staff and the delegation, which will include Senate Minority Leader Jon Sesso, Representatives Amanda Curtis and Ryan Lynch.
Legislators hope to use this as an opportunity to listen about how proposals such as expanding access to Medicaid, the Jobs and Opportunities through Buildings Schools Act, and freezing college tuition, will impact Montana Tech and the surrounding community. The discussion will begin at approximately 11:40 in the Big Butte Room. All are welcome to attend.
