The Commuter Meal Plan is designed for students living off the main campus, faculty, and staff who want the convenience of pre-purchased campus dining. Why shop for groceries, cook and clean-up after yourself if someone else will do it for you? Let MT Tech Dining Services be that someone.

10% Premium ~ For every dollar you deposit, MTDS will add a 10% premium to your account. With today’s economic ups and downs, where else can you earn 10 % on your money?
Marcus Deli Buffet ~ You pay only $5.25 for lunch and $6.75 for dinner in our all-you-care-to-eat buffet. That’s up to a 30% savings over the cash price. And that’s not counting your 10% premium! Did we mention it is all-you-care-to-eat?

What’s Cooking on Campus?
Marcus Deli Buffet ~ All-you-care-to-eat buffet style dining with daily specialties. Extensive salad bar, pastas, gourmet pizzas, vegetarian options, fresh fruits, fresh baked desserts and specialty bars.
Fire House Grill ~ The grill is quick and convenient. Made to order breakfast, all types of burgers, chicken strips, sub sandwiches and fast food favorites. Beverages and snacks are also available.
Coffee Mill ~ Starbucks, smoothies, lattés, cappuccino, soup, individual salads and sandwiches daily.
COT Snack Bar ~ Grill items, soup and salads.

Q: Who is eligible to purchase a Commuter Meal Plan?
A: The Commuter Meal Plan is available to all students not living on the main campus, faculty, and staff.
Q: How much money do I need to purchase a Commuter Meal Plan?
A: A minimum of $100 is required to purchase a Commuter Meal Plan.
Q: How do I access my meal plan funds?
A: Your Digger Card is the only way to access your meal plan account.
Q: Where can I use my Commuter Meal Plan?
A: Your Commuter Meal Plan may be used all year at any Dining Services location on campus.
Q: How will I know my meal plan balance?
A: Each time you make a purchase with your meal plan, your account balance is displayed at the cash register.
Q: How and when can I add money to my account?
A: You may add funds to your meal plan at any time. Anyone may add money to your meal plan (i.e., mom and dad) but only you can spend it. For every dollar you deposit, Dining Services will add a 10% premium to your account. To deposit additional funds, please visit the main MT Tech Dining Services office located in the Student Union Building, or call (406) 496-4196. You may also fill out the attached form and send it with your deposit to MTDS, 1300 W. Park, Butte, MT 59701.
Q: What happens to my funds at the end of each semester?
A: Your Commuter Meal Plan remains active until one full year of inactivity. To cancel your meal plan and receive a refund, come to the MTDS office during regular business hours. Refunds will be given less 10% of the remaining balance or $10, whichever is greater, and a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for balances of $35 or less.
