WIRELESS Information



Guest Wireless Setup Instructions:

Connect to MTGuest if you are a guest to the Montana Tech campus.  You will be prompted to enter your email address when you first open your web browser.

Secure Wireless Setup Instructions:

Faculty / Staff / Students – Connect to eduroam or MTSecure using your Montana Tech e-mail address (username@mtech.edu) and Password. See the instructions to the right if you need help connecting your device.


Students – If you live in Prospector Hall, Centennial Hall, or Family Housing, it is recommended that you connect to MTDorms using your Montana Tech e-mail address (username@mtech.edu) and Password. See the instructions to the right if you need help connecting your device.


To use the secure networks you MUST meet the following requirements:

  • An IEEE 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless Networking card capable of supporting WPA2 authentication.  Check with the manufacturer of your device to make sure you have the latest wireless drivers installed. 
  • A valid Student, Faculty or Staff Account with Montana Tech.

Need help logging in?

You will need your Student ID number (799 number) and your last name in order to retrieve your username and password for the first time. Click here to retrieve your password. These credentials will give you access to MyMTech, E-Mail, Wireless, and any campus computer.
