Import Grades
Rules:
1) You must have a student ID that will match a student ID in your Moodle course.
2) No commas in the spreadsheet - commas create additional rows and throws off the data. Check out the example below.

Importing Grades from Excel (.CSV format) into Moodle
- To import grades in Moodle, click Grades in the Administration block. The Grader report is displayed.
- Click Import from the Grader report tabs

- Click Browse. The choose file dialog box is displayed. Locate the exported grades .CSV file and click Open.
- Select UTF-8 from the Encoding drop-down menu.
- Choose Comma as the Separator if importing a .CSV file.
- From the Verbose scales drop-down menu select Yes when importing grades based on a scale that includes text (“Exceptional”, “Acceptable”, “Needs Improvement”).
- Select the number of rows to preview from the Preview rows drop-down menu.
- Click Upload grades. The Import preview is displayed.
- From the Map from drop-down menu, select StudentID (Which you must have in your spreadsheet). The student ID must be able to match to a student ID in your Moodle course.
- From the Map to drop-down menu, select useridnumber.
- In the Grade item mappings section, ignore all items except for newly created grade items or modified grade items. NOTE: For newly created grade items, select new gradeitem beside the new item. For modified grades, select the existing grade item from the drop-down list.
