Drafting Technology Program

Associate of Applied Science Degree

 

The Drafting Technology program prepares the student for work in industry as drafters.  The student is able to prepare clear, complete and accurate working drawings similar to those used in industry.  The student applies the knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, and building materials to complete a set of drawings.  Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) is also utilized during all semesters using industry standard software and hardware.

Minimum credits for an A.A.S. degree in Drafting Technology = 63

 

The Drafting Technology program is designed for Fall entry.  If Spring entry is desired, it may take longer than two years to complete the program.

 

 

 

Completion of the first two semesters may result in a CERTIFICATE IN DRAFTING.  Students must complete a course in each of the following areas:  English, Math, and Psychology to receive a certificate.
