The 2007 Montana Tech Environmental Design Team is pleased to present the WERC
Consortium for Environmental Education and Technology Development the results
of our research and testing processes in Task Four and Five. We chose these
tasks because of the significance of the issues they address in population
groups around the world today.
Task Four developed a hybrid system to efficiently convert biomass resources into useful forms of energy and other products.
Task Five has developed an efficient an innovative multi-media filtration system to remove bacteria and/or viruses from pond water that would be used for agricultural applications.
The teams used a best business approach that considered economic impact and sustainability in each proposed solution.
All of the designs specifically address the need to keep citizens informed of steps being taken. The solutions comply with all applicable safety and health guidelines and regulations.
