Degrees and Programs
Pursue a Bachelors degree in Mathematical Sciences while choosing to concentrate in one of three areas:
Math: Mathematicians make definitions and hypotheses,
then trace out their logical consequences. The mathematics
student will learn to use this method for solving problems
in science and technology, as well as in mathematics.
Professional opportunities, both in secondary school teaching
and industrial and government positions, are open to college
graduates with Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematical Sciences
with the Math Option.

Statistics: Statisticians deal with the study of data that arise
in scientific research, social and economic investigations, in
business and industry, and in government work. The applied
statistician designs experiments and sampling plans, explores
and analyzes data, builds models from observed data, and
interprets the results of the data analysis.

Teaching: Secondary Education Certification is available for
those students wishing to receive their teaching credentials
while pursuing a Mathematics degree.
