Industry Advisory BoardObject The intent of this board is to assist the Computer Science Department faculty in producing graduates of the highest quality possible. To this end, the board will advise the faculty on industry needs, curriculum changes, recruitment, and placement of graduates. Each company employing or desiring to employ Tech graduates will be invited to send a representative to the Board meetings. Insofar as possible, Tech graduates will be preferred, but any representative will be welcome. No more than thirty people will be invited to participate in any given year. To provide continuity, members are encouraged to participate for a minimum of three years. Members unable to attend are asked to find a substitute.
Meetings will be held once a year, generally in the spring. The agenda will be set by the department head in consultation with the faculty and members of the advisory board. Any member of the board is welcome to submit items for the agenda. Topics for discussion will generally focus on the items listed in the objectives given above, but others are open for discussion at the request of any board member.
The Department will provide meals and materials at the meetings. Housing and transportation will be the responsibility of the individual members of the board and their companies.
