Degrees and ProgramsThe core of the biological sciences curriculum is designed to provide basic education in biology that prepares students for graduate research and professional schools including medical, pharmacy and veterinary schools. Two options are available for pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences - Cellular & Molecular Track, and Organismal Track. While unique in their advanced coursework, they both share a common foundation of biological and general science. Bachelor of Science, Cellular & Molecular TrackThe Cellular and Molecular Track within the Biological Sciences degree plan allows students to dig deeper into the cellular and molecular basis of life. From Genetics and Immunology to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the curriculum in this track provides those interested in health professions and/or research in the microbiological or biomedical arenas with a solid foundation upon which to build. Bachelor of Science, Organismal TrackThe Organismal Track covers applied and theoretical aspects of plant, animal and microbial ecology and biodiversity and is designed to take advantage of our geographic setting, providing extraordinary opportunities for field-based education and research.
