It is intended to enhance and supplement the understanding of introductory chemistry lecture material (CHEM 1016 and 1026) through the use of laboratory experimentation. Experiment topics will cover gravimetric analysis, chemical reactions, acid-base titrations, gas laws, basic organic and biochemical principles, water analysis and Colligative properties of solutions. Students will be expected to maintain a thorough laboratory notebook and submit lab reports summarizing and quantifying their results. Students will also be expected to answer questions on weekly quizzes and on the two written exams given during the semester.
